CYCLADES ISLANDS - FOLEGANDROS

General Information

Folegandros is a small island of south Cyclades between Milos and Sikinos. It has an area of 32 sq. km. And its distance from Piraeus is 106 nautical miles. The landscape is mostly rocky interrupted by the beautiful beaches.

Karavostasis is the port of the island and a little further is the capital Chora.

In Chrisospilia cave you can see stalactites, stalagmites and inscriptions.

In Ano Meria you can visit the Ecological and Folklore Museum.
The island was first inhabited from Cretans with their leader Folegandros from who it took its name.
