RhodesThe cosmopolitan Rhodes is an island of great historical importance. It is known for its medieval architecture and the invaluable ancient findings.
The island climate is ideal for holidays all through the year, quiet or cosmopolitan.
The landscapes and the beaches are beautiful.
Capital and port of the island is the city of Rhodes.

• The Knights Palace with seven entrances and 150 coat of arms.
Medieval Town built semicirculary around the town of Rhodes, with graphic squares, the famous “road of the knights” and medieval buildings among which the Palace of Magistros
• a 3th century BC temple of Aphrodite
• on St. Stephan hill the site of the Ancient Acropole of Rhodes, with the temples of Athena and Jeus, Nymfaia, the temple of Apollo etc.
• the mosque of Mourat Reis
• St. John tombs
• The Butterflies Valley a picturesque place for walking where during the summer you can admire the butterflies “Panaxia”.
Ancient Ialysos with many important archaeological findings like the temple of Athena (2-3 cent. BC), old Christian churches etc.
• In Lindos visit the Acropole of the ancient city, the medieval houses, and the ancient theater
• the ruins of the ancient city Kameiros.
• the spa in the area of Kallithea with incredible mosaics arches and domes.
• in Archangelos the castle and the church of Archangel Michael
• in Asclepion the church of The Assumption of Virgin Mary (11th cent.) with hagiographies of the 13-16 cent.

Its is worth mentioning that one of the 7 miracles of the ancient world, the Rhodes Colossus, stood in the entrance of the port. It was a huge statue 33 m in height devoted to the god of the Sun as a symbol of unity.
