General Information

Symi is a quiet island with beautiful gulfs and high mountains.
The town of Symi has charming traditional houses and the Clock Tower dominating the entrance of the port.


Sights

• the monastery of Archangel Michael Panormitis. It is unknown when it was established. In the internal are rare Byzantine hagiographies, books and manuscripts (16th, 17th and 18th century).
• the Knights Castle on the highest place of the town.

• the Navy Museum in Gialos


Beaches

In Emporeio, Agia Marina, at Pedi by boat, to Nanos gulf the best sandy beach in Symi, Marathounta, and Panormitis where you can go to island Seskli.
