General Information

A cluster of islands at the west of Chios, of which only the bigger one, Psara is inhabited. The other islands are Antipsara, Kato Nisi, the Daskaleio, Saint Nikolaos and the Prasonisi.

Psara is ideal for peaceful holidays away from crowds. The island is the homeland of the hero captain of fire-ship Konstantinos Kanaris.

Every year on June 22, the anniversary of the holocaust of Psara, take place cultural events organised by the Municipality.

• Honey, cheese, and cream cheese. Don’t forget to try the fresh fish and lobsters.
